Max is a lovely golden retriever who was purchased from a high quality breeder in Minneapolis named Kelli Johnson to work with a young boy in Maryland named Steven. Max will help Steven to deal with his autism and severe separation anxiety. He spent 5 months training under the supervision of North Star's Director, Rachel Friedman, and on May 26, 2004 Max flew to Maryland with Rachel. He is now under the training supervision of Whitney Beers which will help facilitate more frequent visits with Steven and his family.
